The Animal Welfare League Qld is bringing the animals to the people as part of their first Pop-Up Adoption due to take place at Best Friends Pet Centre at Kessels Road Macgregor.

The AWLQ will have cats, dogs, kittens and puppies of all sizes available for adoption in store on April 26th from 10am – 3pm.

The Animal Welfare League Qld has one of the highest animal rehoming rates in Australia and is looking forward to introducing the Macgregor community to their furry friends.

“Residents can sometimes find it difficult to visit a shelter, by taking the animals to a central location we hope to bring more awareness to the AWLQ and see the animals find their new forever homes,” Communications Manager Brooke Whitney says.

“The AWLQ prides itself on creative campaigns, if successful, ‘Pop-Up Adoptions’ may become more frequent in suburbs from the Gold Coast to Brisbane,” Ms Whitney says.

The Pop-Up Adoption will also include the opportunity to meet everyone’s favourite 2013 Big Brother resident Mr Clooney, who was also a past guest of the Gold Coast Rehoming Centre.

“Mr Clooney was with the AWLQ for a month before being chosen for TV stardom. He is a great example of the fun loving companion animals you can adopt from the AWLQ,” Ms Whitney says.

The Animal Welfare League Qld cares for 10,000 animals annually and has three rehoming centres located at Ipswich, Beenleigh and on the Gold Coast proving true love is closer than you think.
