Hi there – I just wanted to say thank you very much for our new addition to the family. We adopted “Ward” on Saturday the 14th and our son renamed him “Dog”.
My fiance, son and I were at the Gold Coast Shelter for an hour and a half, at first really hoping to adopt “Girl” and although we were first in, she was being “snapped up” as we got there. Our second choice “Eddie” had also been adopted.
We looked at several more dogs feeling a little defeated as “Girl” was our first choice and she seemed like such a perfect fit for our family.
The young woman there suggested we take a look at “Ward” who we had overlooked, everyone had been walking straight past him.
He was gentle, quiet, curious & inquisitive, and as he was affectionate and good with our son, we decided he would make the perfect addition to our family.
He slept in my lap the whole way home to the Redlands and was very well behaved.
It has now been 5 days since we adopted “Dog” and he has been enjoying lots of lazy naps as well as frequent walks, chasing the ball and being rewarded with “Chum” and Juicy Bones.
We couldn’t have hoped for a better fit, a more gentle, loyal, obedient and affectionate new pet. Thankyou AWL.
