In a suburb not so far away 68 cats are waiting to lead you astray.
This weekend starting Friday 27 to Sunday 29th of September all domestic breeds one year and older will be available for adoption for just $39.
The AWLQ’s Ipswich, Beenleigh and Gold Coast rehoming centres are full to the brim with cats and kittens and are unable to take in more strays and surrenders until their current animals are re homed.
AWLQ’s Marketing Manager Brooke Whitney says all breeds of cats from 1 year old will have their adoption fees slashed however all medical work will still be completed.
“Every one of our 68 available cats will be adopted desexed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated”.
“We hope this promotion will re home lots of adult cats who have been at the shelter for far too long and deserve to be in a home with people that love them”, she says.
“We need to clear the pens in time for kitten season (November- March) as we will soon be inundated with pregnant mother cats and litters from unplanned pregnancies.”
Anyone who dresses up and visits the shelter over the weekend will get an AWLQ branded wristband.
