Hey there humans. The name's Pepper and I'm looking to spice up your life. I found myself here at the shelter after being lost on the streets with my pal, Salt. We only had each other to rely on and for quite some time, those tough experiences left us quite uncertain of how to trust people. Now, thanks to our new friends at AWL, we have learnt to be our best selves and are ready to part ways to find our forever homes. I'm a girl who knows what she wants, and more importantly what she doesn't. I'm NOT a morning cat by any means. The chaos, the noise...it all makes me very uncomfortable and can sometimes bring back my spicier nature. But as long as my environment is calm, quiet and free of any other pets, I will continue to be the food-loving, pat-craving sweetheart I truly am. If you're looking for a lap-cat, then I'm probably not the cat for you, but I'm a fantastic companion for anyone who wants their house to be that little bit less empty. I'm not overly fond of being picked up and rather will approach you when I want attention. When I do, be sure to give me a good, long cheek scratch. I'll even roll over for you! While I've got a lot of love to give, I'm quite the independent cat at times. For this reason, I would really appreciate my new family consisting only of humans old enough to understand my need for independence.
