Hi, my name is Whisp!
I have been waiting

Learn more about Whisp

Are you looking for the sweetest of all sweet things? The gentlest of the cats and smoochiest of Netflix buddies? Well, look no further than Whisp! Little Whisp and her rather large belly (she adores her food) are ready for cuddles and a life of peace and quiet. She came to us after fighting for survival on the mean streets of Brisbane. Once you actually meet this sweet furball, you'll be surprised she even lasted this long! While she is a shy cat to begin with, once she's had a few sniffs and determined you're not a threat, she promptly rolls over for belly rubs. Yes, finally a cat that actually likes belly rubs! Whisp is a gentle soul with a heart of gold. She would love to go to a calm home where she can be smothered with love and affection. In return, you will never be alone or unloved. You will always have a furry shadow plopping next to you every day when you come home from work. Come say hi to this sweet girl today!

Help AWLQ continue to care for homeless animals like me...

Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal’s profile.

This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn’t been marked as ‘adopted’, the animal is still here.

Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
