Learn more about Zip

Hi there humans, I'm Zip. I'm a plus-size lad looking for someone to help me on my weight-loss and self-development journey. I have been through some difficult times and therefore turned to food to make me feel better.. However, now that I am in the hands of these really caring and loving volunteers and staff at AWLQ I have gotten new motivation to create a better life for myself. I want to lose weight, work on my confidence and create a stronger bond to humans. It's going to be challenging, but I know it will be worth it. When I first came to the shelter I was very withdrawn and introverted, but now I will flop on the floor and enjoy belly-rubs, so I've already come a really long way! It's all about having the right mindset, focusing on the positives and surrounding yourself with supportive people. If you want to be my new life-coach, mental health supporter and life-long friend, please consider adopting me and I will give you companionship, cuddles and love in return.

PLEASE DONATE.

Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal’s profile.

This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn’t been marked as ‘adopted’, the animal is still here.

Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
