Learn more about Loki

Our sweet little Loki boy somehow found himself as a stray end therefore ended up with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV doesn’t mean a cat is ill, as cats with the virus may never show signs or symptoms and with proper care, can live for many happy years. We do ask that they remain indoor cats for their own health and safety. The staff know them to be some of our sweetest, smoochiest, most laid back boys and some of our all-time favourites! Loki’s favourite spot is in his igloo bed, you’ll always find him here. Despite this, he will always make the effort to come out with excitement when his humans approach, only to go back on in his cosy bed when you leave. He’s a chilled out boy and he’s the kinda guy for you if you are wanting smooches on the couch of an evening time! The Gold Coast Animal Rehoming Centre will re-open to visitors from Tuesday, 10 November and the new hours will be Tuesday through to Saturday between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm. This centre will be CLOSED on Sunday and Monday. When visiting the centre please adhere to all COVID-19 safety measures.

Please Note:

Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal's profile.

This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn't been marked as 'adopted', the animal is still here.

Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
