It’s true that Emelia adores other dogs, but due to being Heartworm positive, she’ll need to be the one and only pet at home while receiving treatment. ❤️‍🩹

Keeping calm is a challenge for this little lady, as she’s always ready for fun! To keep her happy and healthy, Emelia will need plenty of mental enrichment every day – puzzle toys, treat-dispensing games and short training sessions will be great ways to keep her brain busy. She can also enjoy gentle, daily sniffy walks, which will give her both mental stimulation and a chance to stretch her legs. 🐶

The wonderful vet team at Animal Welfare League QLD will look after all of her veterinary needs during her treatment, so the only thing missing is a loving home that will give her the calm and caring environment she needs to rest and recover.
