Learn more about Dozer
Hi, I’m Dozer ππΎ
I’m a 9-month-old American Staffy with a gentle, sensitive nature who does best in a calm, quiet home. I’m not suited to busy households or lots of visitors – I thrive when life is predictable, low-key, and peaceful πΏ
I’m very dog-friendly and would make a great second dog πΆπΆ. Having another calm canine around really helps me feel more confident and settled. With people, I can be shy at first, but once I feel safe I’m sweet, affectionate, and enjoy being close without needing constant stimulation π€
Because I’m a sensitive boy, a securely fenced yard is important so I can feel safe and relaxed at home π‘π. I don’t need heaps of exercise – gentle routines and calm enrichment suit me best.
𦴠Important Ongoing Care – Hip Dysplasia
I’ve shown signs consistent with hip dysplasia, which means my hips didn’t form perfectly and will require ongoing, lifelong management. While I’m currently comfortable, this condition can progress over time. My future family will need to:
Keep me at a healthy, lean weight
Avoid excessive or high-impact exercise
Provide controlled, low-impact activity
Be prepared for ongoing veterinary care as I mature
With the right management, many dogs with hip dysplasia live happy, comfortable lives – I just need adopters who understand and are committed to my joint care π
π¦· Underbite
I also have an underbite, which means I’ll need regular dental check-ups, gentle dental care, and soft food options (no hard bones).
I’m a kind, dog-loving, low-key companion who will truly shine in a quiet, supportive home with another dog for company. If you’re looking for a calm soul and are ready to support my ongoing hip care, I might be your Dozer πΎπ

Please Note:
Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal's profile.
This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn't been marked as 'adopted', the animal is still here.
Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
