Tailwaggers is a 3 hour school holiday program for children 12 years and older. The program aims to teach children how to have a great fun relationship with their best mate, whilst being safe! The program runs from 10:30-1:30 at Ispwich and Warra on selected days in the school holidays.
Children do a combination of small and whole group activities, which includes supervised dog training with our qualified dog trainers as well as learning how to make enrichment toys and contact time with our animals. Children also have the opportunity to get a ‘behind the scenes tour of the AWLQ Rehoming Centre.
Children receive a ‘take-home’ pack at the end of the session that includes dog training information, pet saftey information and magazines. The number of children in the program is capped at a maximum of 16 per session, so as to allow for individual attention. To enrol in the Tailwaggers Activity just find which dates are available and follow the prompts to register. The program is extremely popular, so we recommend getting in as early as possible to avoid disappointment!
