Learn more about Max
Max is a young shepherd with a big personality and even bigger potential. This energetic boy is full of life, loves his toys, and has a very sweet nature-but he’ll need the right home to help him truly thrive.
Max is best suited to an experienced adopter, ideally someone familiar with large or working breeds, who can provide consistent training and clear guidance. He’s still learning his manners and can be quite jumpy and strong on lead, so ongoing training and the use of a harness are essential. He absolutely loves food-based enrichment like puzzle toys and slow feeders, which will be a great asset in keeping his busy mind engaged.
He’ll need an active home that can meet both his physical and mental needs, along with secure 6ft Colourbond or timber fencing to keep him safe. Max can be wary of strangers and has shown some “stranger danger,” so continued positive exposure and confidence-building will be important.
Max may do well with another dog, particularly a calm, balanced companion-ideally a female working breed or shepherd-as he can pick up on and mirror other dogs’ energy. A meet and greet will be essential for any potential dog siblings.
For the right person, Max is an incredibly rewarding dog-playful, affectionate, and full of potential. With time, structure, and understanding, he’ll grow into a loyal and devoted companion.

Please Note:
Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal's profile.
This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn't been marked as 'adopted', the animal is still here.
Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
