Pet Shop Rehoming Partnerships

THE AWLQ IS VERY THANKFUL FOR ALL OF OUR PARTNERING PET SHOP’S WHO HAVE COME ON BOARD TO HELP FIND HOMES FOR OUR SHELTER ANIMALS.

The relationships built with our supporting pet shops are not only important for helping find more and faster homes for our shelter animals, but are also a great advocate for promoting one of our core position statements – Adopt Don’t Shop. The additional promotion through our supporting pet shops, of the concept of choosing to adopt is extremely beneficial for spreading awareness. It is remarkable to know that our partnering pet shops have chosen to support and promote the adoption of shelter animals, opposed to capitalising on profits made from the negligent breeding and selling of pets.

This External Rehoming program is not only beneficial for an increase of adoptions and awareness, the program correspondingly frees up more space within the shelter, which can then be used for an additional animal in need.
