Otis is a sweet boy with a gentle, slightly cautious nature who may need a little time to settle into new surroundings. Once he feels comfortable, his affectionate personality begins to shine through, and he becomes a lovely companion to those he trusts.
One of the best ways to win Otis over is through his stomach-he is highly food motivated, and treats are a sure way to help him build confidence and form positive associations with his new home and people.
He would be best suited to a calm home where he can be the only pet, allowing him to relax without the pressure of other animals. Otis would also suit a family with children aged 10 and over who can respect his need for space while he adjusts. With patience, routine, and a few tasty incentives, Otis is sure to blossom into a loyal and rewarding companion.
