Each year throughout spring and summer, Animal Welfare League QLD becomes flooded with hundreds of homeless, helpless kittens.
These vulnerable bundles of fluff stretch our resources and facilities to their limits.
All these kittens require formula, food, veterinary attention and foster care until they are old and strong enough to be adopted by loving families.
To help manage the intense demands of kitten season, AWLQ’s Kitten Shower campaign aims to raise money to provide for hundreds of kittens in need.
A Kitten Shower is precisely what it sounds like: a baby shower… but for kittens!

Monetary Donations
AWLQ needs to raise $25,000 to provide the needed supplies and care for these kittens. We need to buy kitten formula, wet and dry kitten food, flea and worming medication, veterinary care, blankets and toys.

Fostering
There is nothing like the love and warmth of a foster home. We rely on the support of foster homes to provide care for our kittens before they are old enough for adoption.
Caring for a young kitten can be a big time commitment, but don’t worry, we’ll provide you with training videos, support and all the supplies you will need.
