Our promise is to never euthanise a healthy, sociable or treatable animal in our care. At our Gold Coast rehoming centre we invest approximately $660.00 into each animal to prepare them for adoption, this money is never fully recouped. As a result, we are currently running at a loss of $150,000 per month just in rehoming expenses.
We will always keep our promise, but we can’t sustain it on our own.
When you adopt a higher-priced animal from us, not only are you giving this animal a second chance but you are giving many other animals a second chance. The abandoned dog who needs to have his leg amputated to alleviate pain and suffering, the homeless cat who needs lifesaving treatment and the orphaned litters that need around-the-clock care.
From this page, you can see all of the dogs, cats, kittens, puppies, pocket pets and all other animals we have available for adoption across our five South East Queensland rehoming centres.
This page is kept up to date and lists all animals currently looking for a new home.
PLEASE NOTE:
We have been made aware of a telemarketing campaign that is currently occurring where the caller will try to solicit funds by claiming to be from Animal Welfare League Queensland or AWLQ.
Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ) does not utilise the services of telemarketing or door-to-door fundraisers for any of our campaigns.
Please be assured that all donations to AWLQ are processed online via our secure payment gateway at www.awlqld.com.au/donate. Please keep this in mind when making a donation, if you are ever unsure call us on 07 5509 9014. Thank you for your continued support!
