Dear Future Family,

My name is Desmond, but my friends might tell you I’m also known as “Big Goofball”, “Mr Enthusiasm”, and “Please Stop Jumping On The Visitors”.

I am a handsome Bull Arab X with a big heart, big paws, and sometimes…big feelings. I absolutely LOVE people. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be involved in everything you’re doing, I’m your guy. Walks? Amazing. Cuddles? Even better. Hanging out together while I supervise your daily activities? Perfect.

I have to be honest with you – shelter life has been a bit tough for me. I’ve been feeling stressed and a little overwhelmed, so sometimes all my excitement comes bursting out at once. The humans here say I can be a boisterous boy, which I think is a polite way of saying I get very excited about life!

Because I’m such a happy, energetic lad, I’m still working on some of my manners. Sometimes I forget that I’m a big dog and get a little too enthusiastic when greeting people. I promise I’m not trying to be rude – I just think humans are the best thing ever and occasionally my feet leave the ground before my brain catches up.

One of my favourite things is heading out for adventures. I love walks, sniffing absolutely everything, and investigating all the exciting smells the world has to offer. Give me exercise, enrichment, and fun things to do, and you’ll see the very best version of me.

Once I’ve had a chance to stretch my legs, use my brain, and spend time with my people, I’m more than happy to settle down and enjoy some quality relaxation. I’m a pretty good cuddler, if I do say so myself.

I’ve had a bit of a rough trot lately, including recent tail surgery, so what I really need now is a family of my own. A place where I can recover, feel safe, be loved, and finally leave shelter life behind.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion, a professional cuddle collector, an enthusiastic adventure buddy, and a sweet goofball who will make you laugh every day, I think we should meet.
