Learn more about Vega
Meet Lyra and Vega, two adorable puppies who are looking for loving homes to call their own. These sweet girls are bursting with personality, curiosity, and puppy enthusiasm, and they’re ready to bounce their way straight into your heart!
Like all young puppies, Lyra and Vega are learning about the big wide world around them. They will thrive with positive training, socialisation, and puppy school to help them grow into confident and well-rounded companions.
Lyra and Vega have shown some mild neurological signs, including occasional head tremors. Our veterinary team suspects they may have either a condition called Hereditary Puppy Tremor Syndrome or mild Cerebellar Hypoplasia. While those names sound daunting, both girls are bright, happy, playful puppies who enjoy all the normal puppy activities you’d expect.
If their tremors are caused by Hereditary Puppy Tremor Syndrome, there is a good chance they will improve significantly as they mature, with many puppies growing out of the condition by around 3-4 months of age. If they have Cerebellar Hypoplasia, the tremors may remain, however this condition is non-progressive, meaning it does not worsen over time. Dogs with mild signs typically adapt remarkably well and go on to live happy, fulfilling lives, often becoming more coordinated and confident as they grow.
Their future family should be prepared to provide ongoing support, monitoring, and regular veterinary care as they continue to develop. Most importantly, Lyra and Vega are looking for someone who will see beyond their special needs and love them for the wonderful puppies they are.
If you’re looking to add one of these special girls to your family and are ready to give them the life they deserve, please email [email protected].
You won’t find Lyra and Vega in our kennels-they’re currently enjoying life in foster care, where they’re busy perfecting their puppy antics while waiting to meet their forever families.
