Learn more about Wattle

Meet Wattle, a beautiful Red-rumped parrot looking for a patient and experienced home.

Wattle is not hand-tamed and will require a calm, understanding adopter who is familiar with parrot behavior. While Red-rumped Parrots are known for their intelligence, gentle nature, and active personalities, they can be shy and cautious without consistent, positive interaction. Wattle would do best with another parrot friend like him and someone who has previous bird experience, particularly with aviary or non-hand-raised parrots.

Ideal Home:

Previous parrot or small aviary bird experience required

A secure, spacious cage or aviary with enrichment

A quiet, low-stress environment

Patience to allow Wattle to build trust at their own pace

With time, consistency, and gentle care, Wattle has the potential to grow in confidence and thrive. If you’re an experienced bird enthusiast ready to provide a safe and understanding home, Wattle could be a wonderful addition to your flock. πŸ’š

Please Note:

Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal's profile.

This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn't been marked as 'adopted', the animal is still here.

Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
