Learn more about MacAdamia
Hello, my name is Macadamia!
When I first arrived at AWLQ, I was a frightened boy, too scared to come out of my shell. I’ve come a real far way since then, mostly thanks to the care and dedication of my foster mum. She’s helped me discover what an affectionate little nut I am deep down.
Treats are a fantastic way to win my heart. It’s no lie to say I’m a foodie and will quickly warm up to any who offer me tasty morsels. My favourite place to hang out is on the cat tree – you’ll often find me curled up in one of the hidey-holes or lazing on the topmost perch as I watch the world go by. I’m an independent young man at heart, but I do have a soft spot for pats, especially gentle strokes behind my ears. When I’m in the mood for some cuddles, I will be sure to let you know by coming up and nuzzling your hand.
My ideal forever home is one that is quiet and calm. I need a family who will understand that it takes time for me to learn to trust and fully come out of my shell. Sudden movements and loud noises tend to startle me, so taking things slow around me is important, especially while I am settling in. Young children would not be a suitable match for me, nor would boisterous dogs, as I would find them too scary. I’m fond of my own kind, especially my sister – as a matter of fact, we’re bonded besties! We absolutely love each other’s company and I find having her nearby to be very soothing.

While I'm awaiting my forever home, I'm being fed Royal Canin, who are generous partners of AWLQ!

This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn't been marked as 'adopted', the animal is still here.
Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
