Learn more about Derek

Meet Derek.

Derek is a sweet little boy that has retained plenty of his adorable kitten characteristics. From his adorable teddy bear ears to his love-filled eyes, he’ll be sure to bring plenty of joy to any family he encounters. While he may have a lot to say, rest assured that his grumbly antics have no substance – he just loves to complain. If you allow him a moment to recoup himself, he’ll be back to his lovebug self in no time. Whilst he doesn’t mind being picked up, Derek much prefers to be in your lap or cuddled up by your side, and is especially fond of head scratches.

Due to his tendency to get overstimulated with too much attention, Derek is not a great match for small children. He would do quite well in a family environment with lots of love and attention, so long as everyone respects his boundaries and gives him the space he needs. He would also prefer to be your sole fur baby as he feels he’s the most important kitty in the world.

If you’d like to gaze lovingly into Derek’s big teddy bear eyes, come on down to the AWLQ Rehoming Centre today!

While I'm awaiting my forever home, I'm being fed Royal Canin, who are generous partners of AWLQ!

Please Note:

Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal's profile.

This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn't been marked as 'adopted', the animal is still here.

Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
