Learn more about Pixie
Hello gentle humans.
My name is Pixie. You won’t find me if you visit the shelter. I find the noise, hustle-and-bustle and too many other animals and people a bit overwhelming! Perhaps you do, too? We might just be a perfect match if you can provide me with quiet, close companionship. If you like the sound of that, please call the Warra Rehoming Centre on 07 3631 6800 and they’ll coordinate a special meet, just for us!
I’m a sensitive, peaceful soul, and a little bit shy when I meet new people. I ask that you be patient with me and give me space and time to build my confidence. I’d love to find a home where serenity abounds – a perfect little haven of calm where I can live an unassuming life. I’m not looking for adventures or excitement, just the companionship of an older human or two who share my desire for slow paced living and plenty of relaxation.
Mornings are my favourite time of the day. If you’re an early riser, we’ll get along just fine. I’ll greet you with head boops, snuggle beside you and share my soft, cosy warmth, especially in the cooler months. During the daylight hours, I like to find my own little nook where I can curl up for uninterrupted naps. Just a little corner, tucked away, with a fluffy blanket or two. Or a window with a charming view to the big, wide world outside where I can just sit and observe, knowing I am safe.
I’m patiently waiting to meet my new family. I know the right one will come along – could it be you?
While I'm awaiting my forever home, I'm being fed Royal Canin, who are generous partners of AWLQ!

Please Note:
Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal's profile.
This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn't been marked as 'adopted', the animal is still here.
Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
