Hi, my name is Sooty!

I have been waiting 41 days for a home

Please look at me... I'm still here!

Learn more about Sooty

Meet Sooty, a 5-year-old male black cat with soulful eyes and the air of someone who has truly seen things. Sooty looks like he’s lived an interesting life, and if he could talk (or when he meows, quite animatedly!), you might swear he’s telling tales of past adventures.

When you first meet him, Sooty can be a little unsure, taking his time to observe and decide if you’re worthy of his trust. Give him that patience, and you’ll be richly rewarded. Beneath his cautious exterior is an extremely affectionate, gentle soul who adores pats and quiet companionship. Once he feels safe, Sooty will enthusiastically lean into your hand for all the pats you’re willing to give and soak up the love you can offer. He will return that love in spades!

He’s the kind of cat who forms deep bonds and would thrive in a calm home where his sweet and adoring nature can truly shine.

While I'm awaiting my forever home, I'm being fed Royal Canin, who are generous partners of AWLQ!

Please Note:

Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal's profile.

This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn't been marked as 'adopted', the animal is still here.

Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
