Hi, I’m Arlo – a big, gentle boy with a soft heart and a shy soul. I’m very unsure around people and take a long time to feel comfortable, so if you’re interested in me, please speak to reception first rather than approaching directly. I’m an “enquiry-based” adoption, which means I need a calm, understanding home that’s ready to go at my pace. Sudden movements and too much attention can be overwhelming, but with patience, I’ll start to show you my sweet, sensitive side.

I absolutely love other dogs and would do best with a confident canine companion who can help guide me and make me feel more secure. Being around other dogs really helps me come out of my shell. I’m not suited to homes with children or high activity levels, as I need a peaceful environment to feel safe. I also struggle with being left alone and experience separation anxiety, so I’ll need someone who’s home often, or willing to work with me gently over time to build my confidence being on my own.

I’m a large, strong boy physically, and while I might not rush up to greet you, I’m quietly observing and taking everything in. I need an experienced, patient owner who can give me the time and space to grow into the loving, loyal dog I know I can be.
