Hi, my name is Akira!

I have been waiting 14 days for a home

Learn more about Akira

Meet Akira, a stunning 2-year-old German Shepherd cross Alaskan Malamute with a heart as big as her playful spirit! This gorgeous girl is full of love, smarts, and personality. Akira thrives in an engaging, active home where she can join in on all the fun-whether that’s hiking, running, playing fetch, or learning new tricks to keep her clever mind busy.

But don’t be fooled by her adventurous side-Akira is just as passionate about snuggles as she is about playtime. After a day of excitement, she wants nothing more than to curl up inside with her favorite people and soak up all the love and attention she deserves.

Akira is looking for a family who will include her as part of their daily lives, giving her the perfect balance of exercise, enrichment, and plenty of cuddle time. If you’re ready for a loyal best friend who will keep you smiling and your heart full, Akira can’t wait to meet you!

While I'm awaiting my forever home, I'm being fed Savour Life, who are generous partners of AWLQ!

Please Note:

Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal's profile.

This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn't been marked as 'adopted', the animal is still here.

Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
