Hi, I’m Rebecah – a 6-year-old Staghound with a calm, independent soul and a gentle nature. I’m a big girl with an even bigger heart, but I like to do my own thing and enjoy quiet companionship over chaos.

I’ve lived with another dog before, but honestly, I’m just not that interested in canine company. I prefer to stroll away and keep to myself, so I’m looking for a home where I can be the only dog and soak up all the love and attention.

I’ve also lived with small children in the past without any issues – I’m a soft-natured girl who takes things in stride. While I’ve previously pushed out of wire fencing, there’s been no sign of escape behaviour since I’ve been at the shelter, so I’ll just need a secure, sturdy yard to keep me safe.

On lead, I walk beautifully – I may be tall and strong, but I’m gentle and responsive. I’d make a lovely companion for an older couple or anyone after a calm, easygoing friend who enjoys a relaxed pace of life.

If you’re looking for a sweet, independent girl who’ll happily share her heart (and maybe your couch), I might just be the one for you. 💕
