Hi, my name is Ryder!

I have been waiting 23 days for a home

Learn more about Ryder

This gorgeous boy is a total people-dog at heart. Once he gets to know you, he’s an absolute cuddle bug who loves being close to his humans. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long at all for his gentle, affectionate personality to shine through.

He’s very food-motivated and already knows some basic commands – a great foundation for continued training, which he would really enjoy and benefit from. He’s eager to please and loves learning, especially when treats are involved!

This boy is looking for a home where he can truly be part of the family. He needs to be allowed inside and included in everyday life, as that’s where he feels happiest and most secure. All family members should come along to meet him so he can start building those special bonds from day one.

He could potentially go home with a second dog, provided the other dog is a calm, balanced female, and a successful meet and greet is completed. He would also be perfectly happy as a single dog, soaking up all the love for himself.

He does have some separation anxiety, so his new family will need to be patient and committed to helping him settle in, with someone home more often than not in the beginning. With time, consistency, and reassurance, he will continue to grow in confidence. Secure, good fencing is also a must.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, this sweet Sharpei cross could be your perfect match.

While I'm awaiting my forever home, I'm being fed Savour Life, who are generous partners of AWLQ!

Please Note:

Please visit our Animal Rehoming Centres during opening hours to meet our animals and adopt. No appointment is needed. For select animals, we will require an email application. Where this is the case, instructions will be specified on the animal's profile.

This website is live and updates frequently. To check if an animal is available, please check their adoption profile. If it is active and hasn't been marked as 'adopted', the animal is still here.

Please be aware there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location, the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted, or another party might be going through the adoption process.
