The non-profit organisation is holding an event for all dog lovers who want to make new friends for themselves and for their pets at Regatta Park in Southport on February 18.

AWLQ Marketing Manager Brooke Whitney says they hope to have up to 100 people at the event which runs from 5pm-7pm and includes canapés, drink, entertainment  and loads of prizes to be won including:

  • Dinner for two at cardamom pod
  • City farmers vouchers
  • Gold Coast/NSW Entertainment books
  • k9 photography voucher
  • AWLQ Hydrobath Voucher
  • $50 Southport yacht club voucher
  • $100 gift voucher from 1300 flowers
  • 12 bottles of sparkling wine from De-Borteili wines

“The event is for anyone who has a dog, wants to meet new people or even fall in love, the possibilities are endless”. Ms Whitney says.

“We know there are lots of people out there who aren’t the biggest fans of Valentine’s Day so this event will be a bit of fun and the chance to try something different”.
