AWLQ’s sweeter than any-bunny Easter adoption sale!

This Easter holidays, the Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ) invites you to find your forever friend.

With the theme “Sweeter than any-bunny,” AWLQ is making it more affordable than ever to adopt a pet, with heavily discounted prices for adult cats and dogs in a mission to rehome as many animals as possible this Easter.

134 cats and dogs are currently awaiting their forever homes across AWLQ’s Beenleigh, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Warra, and Willawong Animal Rehoming Centres. AWLQ is generously reducing adoption fees with adult cats for just $29 and adult dogs for only $99 in order to get more animals out of shelters and into loving homes.

Caroline Esera, AWLQ Spokesperson, says the organisation is currently at total capacity with many beautiful adult cats and dogs desperate for homes. The reduced promotional fees are an effort to help make adoptions more accessible for people wishing to welcome a pet into their lives.

“Our shelters are packed and our priority is to find loving homes for all our current cats and dogs in order to continue our promise to take on other animals requiring our help. So we really encourage people to consider adopting a sweet forever friend this Easter,” she said.

With over 60 years of experience and more than 177,000 animals rehomed, the AWLQ remains at the forefront of animal welfare and rehoming in Queensland.

The Easter Adoption Sale, running from Tuesday 26th March to Sunday 7th April, offers the perfect opportunity for those looking to enrich their lives with the love of a pet. Prospective adopters can view available animals at www.awlqld.com.au/adopt or visit any AWLQ Animal Rehoming Centre. AWLQ maintains its thorough adoption process to ensure each animal finds the right home. And if people aren’t in a position to adopt at this point in time, there are other ways to make an impact.

“We appreciate not everyone is able to adopt a pet, so we are always looking for new foster carers who can provide temporary care for shelter pets. Donations and corporate sponsorships are an incredible way to support the organisation and are intrinsic in allowing our teams to keep doing the wonderful work they do – which is saving lives,” Ms Esera said.

This Easter, change the life of a shelter pet. Visit an AWLQ centre and let us help you find your sweetest friend.
