Community Outreach

Our Community Outreach Department focuses on establishing partnerships and relationships with organisations that share the same synergies of fundraising, neighbourhood networking, charitable engagement and community welfare.  Part of this connection is to drive more awareness around current projects, initiatives and campaigns and strengthening the support from the community.

We have delivered over forty presentations in the last year with leading community factions including RSL Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Lions Clubs, Scouts, Girl Guides, high schools, primary schools, kindergartens and other prominent memberships, institutions and associations across South East Queensland.  On visits, we deliver valuable education and awareness about AWLQ’s community programs including (but not limited to);

  • Golden Hearts™ Program

A senior pet support program advocating for seniors and their pets in our community.

  • AWLQ Community Vet Clinic

Our community vet clinic provides essential low cost quality veterinary services to all members of the public, no matter their financial situation

  • The NDN program

A national discounted de-sexing program made available to pet owners in financial need.

  • Education

Delivering school community programs to over 12,000 school children per annum to create links between children, adolescents and companion animals leading to improved outcomes for all groups.
