AWLQ Community Vaccination Day – What You Need to Know

To help stop the spread of parvovirus, and thanks to our friends at Boehringer Ingelheim, we are offering free dog and puppy vaccinations for eligible pet owners living in select suburbs. No appointment needed—just come along on the day!

What to Expect on the Day

  • No Appointments Needed – Walk-ins are welcome.
  • Check-In Process:
On arrival, you’ll be issued a ticket and placed in a ‘next in line’ queue. A vet nurse will call you through when it’s your turn.
  • Health & Safety Screening:
During check-in, you will be asked if your pet is in good general health.
You will also be asked to follow infection control procedures, such as using hand sanitiser and maintaining safe distances where possible.
  • Waiting Area:
A seated waiting area will be available while you wait.

Important Guidelines for Pet Owners

To ensure the day runs smoothly and safely for everyone, we ask that you:

  • Keep All Dogs on Leads:
All dogs must be on a secure lead at all times.
  • Notify Us of Any Reactive Behaviour:
If your dog is reactive to other dogs or people, please inform the check-in attendant. We will:
    • Communicate this to the vet and nurse
    • Take necessary precautions
    • Provide a muzzle if needed
  • Be Patient:
This is a first-come, first-served system. We appreciate your patience while we work to vaccinate as many pets as possible.

 Please Note:

  • Vaccination Only:
This service is strictly for vaccinations only.
If your pet requires additional veterinary care, we will ask you to make an appointment to return to our clinic on a separate day.
  • Vaccine supplies are limited
  • You will need to provide proof of residence when you arrive (ie Driver’s Licence)
