As part of AWLQ’s COVID-19 risk mitigation plan, we have introduced a number of operational changes to our animal rehoming centres, community vet clinics and op shops. These measures are to protect the health and safety of our team and customers.
AWLQ Community Vet Clinics – our clinics will remain open with some changes to the current services on offer and opening hours. Please contact your nearest AWLQ Community Vet Clinic and they will be happy to provide you more detailed information.

AWLQ foster carers – our Gold Coast foster office is operating by appointment only. If you have a foster animal in your care and require assistance please call 07 5509 9020. If you are interested in registering to become a foster carer please visit the foster section of our website.
Animal surrenders – we understand that surrendering a pet is never an easy choice but sometimes is the only option people have. If you need to surrender your pet please call 07 5509 9000 and our team will provide you information on how we may be able to assist.
Beenleigh Animal Rehoming Centre – this centre is temporarily closed for visitors and adoptions are by appointment only. For adoption enquiries please call 07 3807 3782 and for Gold Coast City Council pound enquiries please call 07 3807 0580.
Gold Coast Animal Rehoming Centre – this centre is temporarily closed for visitors and adoptions are by appointment only. For adoption enquiries please call 07 5509 9000.
